Washington DC - New York City - Niagara Falls

👯So yesterday I scrolled photo albums in my FB and decided to make a throwback for each holiday trip I went to, in the States.


I'm not gonna post following the date or sequence. just randomly post based on my mood. lol.
but I'll state the date or which season for each trip.

oh wait.

nope. I think I could not post all holiday trips since I just managed to save and transferred photos mostly for Washington Dc- New York Trip and West Coast Trip. lol.
because the those two trips are the most meaningful. huhuhu.

Ok so let's start with this one:

Washington Dc - New York City - Niagara Falls Holiday Trip.
- Summer Break 2014 -
(Rising Senior)

 

Actually we planned to start our journey at noon but since we need to moving out on the same day, so our plan was messed up and we were off to Washington DC at evening.

Day-One:

In Washington DC, we stayed at one of Malaysia Embassy's house. We arrived at their house in the morning (of next day). The we took shower blablabla, had breakfast then off to the city.



So this was our first checkpoint. Btw, actually K1ng_coco the one who stole my friend's style.

This one tak ingat landmark ape. If I'm not mistaken, it is a museum with a castle-like building. hahah obviously kan.

 

I guess this is a duck-penguin statue. lol haha serius x igt.

We were heading to US Capitol.  Macam 1D right?? huhu

After that, we went to National Air and Space. There was no entrance fee for every one!! 

Seriously Malaysia need to provide free entrance as well for all museums. because museum is a place to gain knowledge, so it should be free in order to encourage every one (especially youngster) to go there and gain knowledge. ;)

 

Then, we went to another museum but I could not find any photos when we were in it. 

I'm not sure what type of museum it was since it had animals (of course not real, it was not a zoo), insects, mummy and hmm what else (??)

 

Seriously I could not remember since I didn't really enjoy it. huhu

I don't fancy museum, or any knowledgeable place.

I prefer to food hunting, go to big city, theme park, enjoy the ride, and flowery scenery.

other than that, just not my thang. lol

We were all tired and could not walk anymore. so we just took photo of monument from far.

(it was really far dude) hahaha

but sokay. I don't really mind

So that's all for day-one in Washington DC

 

Day-two,

had breakfast at the embassy then off to New York.

Checked in hotel (at New Jersey), then went to New York City!!

Luckily there's shuttle from our hotel to the city

I was busy calling nomnom n manisah because they two were left by shuttle.

hmm yeah not really shuttle, should not blame the shuttle when hmm actually it was our fault.

we were the one who left them hahaha

So sorry girls.

look at me. I was sooo happyyyy to be in the heart of New York.

The City of New York!!

Crowded place, lots of people, lots of tourist, lots of shops, lots of street vendors, lot of building and land marks.

Omaigod words could not describe how happy I was.

hahahahahahha

actually the first check point when we were in NYC was Madame Tussaudes.

the ticket was pricey. but since every one wanted to go there and plus I thought there would be a waxwork of Christiano Ronaldo, so I was sooo excited to join them

 

from the entrance until the end, I was looking for CR, but there was no CR!!

Then I just realized there are a lot of Madame Tussaude in this world and each branch would not have the same waxworks. hmm sooo silly.

I could just save my money rather than went in the nothing-I-fancy-about-waxmusuem.

buat-buat happy. padahal dalam kepala dok cari mana la CR ni. hahahaha

Then I knew that this Cake Boss café is famous and would like to try one of their cakes.

however, due to a long queue and our wallet were getting thinner, so we decided to just take photo in front of it. huhu

Let's move to Day-Three.

So we woke up a bit late since we were all tired!

So day-three, first, we went to Central Park.

Today we decided to bring our backpack rather than a sling handbag.

much easier.

 



 

We didn't take lots of photos at Central Park, because we didn't even explore it! hahaha

it was sooo huge and of course I'm not gonna sacrifice my leg for it. :)

after that we went to Central Park Zoo.

Seriously, you don't have to go there!

It was veryyyyyyyyyy small zoo. and the price was not affordable!

We should just skip the zoo and explore the Central Park instead. sighhhhh :(

wasted our money again.

We need to go to the zoo since we already bought the tickets before came here

luckily we bought popsicle  before enter the zoo. at least it made us happy a bit. huhu

waiting for dolphin like forever.

Seriously, when we first entered the terminal, we were all very jakun.

felt like we were in Harry Potter's movie. hahahah

 

Day-Four.

Went to the one of the world's famous bridge, Brooklyn Bridge.

 

Then went for cruise to Liberty Island and Ellis Island

Finally...

Here we go.

Niagara Falls.

Dulang Hantaran

SO hari ni nak ckp pasal preparation utk dulang hantaran dan barang hantaran

 

First of all, kena finalize kan brape dulang hantaran perlu disediakan. brape balas brape and make sure bilangan nombonr ganjil ye and pihak perempuan mesti lebih 2 dua dulang drp pihak lelaki. yg ni dari dulu aku tertanya why and why. but xpela lupakan je. lg pon bila kahwin lelaki lg bnyk kluar duit so yg perempuan xpela kluar kan dulang lebih sikit. haha lol.

 

 

So today I want to share IGshop untuk sewa dulang hantaran.

Any one yang kat JB boleh usha this IGshop (sewadulanghantaran_johor) by Inex Enterprise.

 

Their price pon affordable.

Mostly RM5 per pc.

kalau nk yg pattern gempak sikit, so bayar mahal sikit la.

 

Gabus ~ RM5

Dulang ~ RM5

Hiasan bunga ~ RM5

 

So total for one set should be around ~ RM15

(if sewa gabus siap bunga hiasan and dulang.)

ok la not bad daripada beli n buat sndri pon mahal jugak.

tp nak guna sekali seumur hidup.

bukan everyday nak kahwin kan. hehe

 

and deposit dia murah je - RM20.

 

and dia kasi tempoh for pinjam about ~ 3weeks.

so pepandai la nk arrange masa bila nk pick up and bila nk return.

 but every design and pattern ade limit pc dia. so before nk sewa tgk dulu brape pc dia ade. ckup x.

Wedding Card!!

My Wedding card dah siap!!

 

Super fast and awesome design!

 

It only took 1 day for the designer to design my card, few days for printing

and within one week my wedding card dah siap!

Just show her the example and she made it exactly like what I want.

Door Gift

Ok. so this is the most tiring part so far. T_T

I was in dilemma when it comes to door gift selection.

We want cheap but at the same time looks elegant and classy.

 

At first my mom wanted to order bahulu kemboja

but the price is RM2.30 per piece for 1000pcs.

 

but then, my mom changed her mind. she wanted to gift glass stuff with a budget of RM3k for 1000pcs.

 

So we decided to do a survey for glass.

We went to PISB, Ayer Hitam.

There are quite a lot of stuffs and shops at Ayer Hitam but we decided to go to PISB first since it looks like the largest shop there.

 

So... the price was not as cheap as we expected. just average.

It was quite hard to find the right one.

Eventho there's cheap stuff but the packaging was super expensive. as the transparent packaging was RM 20 for only 10pcs.

 

So we went around again, just to find another stuff with box, with affordable price. and so we don't have to buy that super expensive packaging.

 

Lastly, we found this one glass at RM2.50 per pc (for member). and so, we decided to buy this one (in the picture below).

 

the funny part was when I at the cashier, she said "the promotion price is only for member" and I was not. and therefore they asked me to join membership either by buying RM10 card or like their page at FB. hahahah LOL.

 

Of course I go for liking their FB page.

 

 

 

REVIEW: MINI PELAMIN JOHOR

 

Above was my mini pelamin decorated by Mini Pelamin Johor for my Engagement Day.
It was not bad.

But.... the experience dealing with this IGshop was a nightmare!!

I booked this mini pelamin package about 3-4 months before the E-day.
Everything was fine.
However, later I found out that she always rant on her customer and always publish comments and critics on her customer on her FB and IG page.

I just hope that we would not have any problem.

But not Until.....

the night before my E-day

2 days before E-day, I asked her if I could pick up my dulang hantaran set in the morning before E-day, but her answer was simply a no because she was working on. So I needed to wait for the dulang together with the Pelamin set. which it was at night. So I only had few hours to decorate my dulang before went to bed. sighhhh :(

And after her worker done the pelamin, I was really shocked!
That dais was totally different with the one I requested below.

When I asked her, she said that, sofa and all the decorations as per requested were all used by other customer. and she even said they could uninstall the dais if I would like to. and plus, "ini pakej pelamin murah dik, so ni lah hasilnye."

 

 

And I was like WTF la this minah.

We already had mutual agreement on this package and the dais that I wanted.

How can she did this. Soooo unprofessional.

 

However, later when I opened her IGshop, I found out she already posted a rant on me. part of it

"kami da letak spotlight bnyk and extend backdrop tp still kena kecam sbb x mcm expectations. Tahu x kita xkan buat benda yg sama berkali2. Kami mmg kasi customer pilih warna bunga and backdrop, tp dari sudut kretiviti tu bagi lah kami ruang untuk berkarya."

Kena kecam sbb x mcm expectations. - Eh hello of course la org marah. Minta benda lain, tapi benda lain yg dapat. mcm kau beli ikan merah tapi org kasi kau ikan bawal. ape kau rasa?

 

takkan buat benda sama berkali2 - kepala hotak hang. dah org bayar, then xkan kau xnak buat just sbb kau xnak buat benda yg sama. aku bayar kot! tapi yg herannye, pelamin yg dia pasang tu jugak la yg asyik terpampang kat IGshop dia. which means dia slalu buat deco pelamin mcm tu. HAHAH so funny la this minah.

 

nak berkarya - awak ingat ni lukisan ke nk berkarya bagai. lukisan make sense la setiap kali lukis, akan jadi benda lain. tapi ni deco pelamin. kalau nk berkarya kat pelamin, awak ckp la awal2 yg saya x boleh pilih design pelamin yg saya nak, bcoz it is a surprise sbb awak nk BERKARYA!.

Engagement Day!

 

 

So finally our engagement was on 24-Dec-2016.

We've spent about 2k++ for our engagement day.

But that one excluded catering, 1 set canopy and door gift since those were sponsored by my parents. :)

 

So below is my mini pelamin from Mini Pelamin Johor. (Will post a review on this part soon!)

Cost for pelamin package is RM600 which included:

 

- Mini pelamin

- make up

- hand bouquet

- 7+5 set dulang hantaran 

- transportation 

 

 

 

Next two photos were our dulang hantaran. Five for Me and seven for Him! We decided to give most stuff needed for our wedding day. Therefore here the list of those hantaran:

 

For Me:

- Tepak sireh

- Rings (Merisik + Bertunang)

- Gold Dress

- Telekung

- Shoes (for nikah)

 

P/s: Tepak sireh was requested by my parents. That gold dress (upper part) was bought at Zalora for me to wear it on our Engagement Day, but unfortunately I chose the wrong size and could not fit in. HAHAAHHAAH. Therefore we decided to just put it on dulang hantaran.  

 

 

 

For Him:

- Sireh junjung

- Kain ela Gold color (for nikah)

- Shoes (for nikah)

- Samping songket (for nikah)

- Belt

- Famous Amos Cookies

- Kek lapis

 

 P/s: We bought those kain for nikah at Jakel since they got promotion package for Pengantin. That package cost only RM250 for:
- 9mtr kain satin
- Samping songket
- 2mtr lace
- 2mtr net (for veil)

 

So here's my picture with his mother.

Seriously it was an awkward moment because everyone was paying attention to us and in front of us were all of his family members!

 

And guess what, I wore the same color as his family! such a coincidence.

Since I could not fit in the gold dress, I decided to wear my pink dress and on the day before, I tried that pink dress and felt no confident on wearing it. And finally I decided to wear my mom's maroon  baju raya. And it turns out to be coincidencely same color with his family. hahahha.
